Northwest Flooring About Us
Family-owned & Locally Operated since 1974
Doug’s daughter, Steffany Dietz, manager, has been with the company working part-time off and on through high school and college over summer breaks and in between classes. She began working full-time since she graduated from college with a degree in International Business and Economics and focuses on design while managing both of the company locations.

The Experts in Interior Design
Doug Patch
Owner
Doug started in the installation world and the opportunity to purchase Northwest came up in 2001 and he took it! He has successfully grown this business into more than just a flooring store by adding cabinets and countertops and also updating our store into the beautiful space it is today. He also expanded the business two years ago by opening our sister store, High Point Kitchen & Bath Studio in Bettendorf. Doug is a loyal boss who treats his employees like family and is always joking around with the staff. He is extremely knowledgeable about this business and passionate about building and maintaining client relationships. Doug is married with two kids and two grandkids (our commercial stars). He loves snowmobiling and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks. If you see him out, buy him a Miller Lite.
Mike Beard
Flooring Consultant
Mike has worked for Northwest for three years now and has been in the flooring industry for 38 years. Mike is always making us laugh and being the voice of reason. His favorite part of his job is getting to know his customers. He has a daughter and loves staying active in his free time by biking, hiking and exercising. He enjoys Indy car racing and is a big Green Bay Packers fan. You can bribe him with lasagna.
Mike Venable
Sales Consultant
Mike has been with Northwest for 14 years and holds 25 years of industry experience. Mike is from DeWitt, Iowa and is married and the proud parent of two children. His favorite thing about his job is building and maintaining client relationships. Mike works closely with several residential and commercial new construction builders in the Quad Cities. In his free time, you can catch him watching the Chicago Blackhawks or hitting up a local eatery (where he probably sold and coordinated the flooring install!).
Belinda Mangelsdorf
Office
Belinda has worked at Northwest for over 20 years! She handles all of our day-to-day business operations. You likely have heard her friendly voice answering the phones if you’ve ever given us a ring! Belinda has two daughters, one of which lives in Colorado. She always takes a long summer trip out there to enjoy the scenery and to visit with her daughter and grandchildren!
Jana Keever
Office
Jana started working in our office around four years ago and has worked in the industry for five years. She has recently started helping out in the showroom with customers and learning about flooring, cabinetry and countertops. She loves both aspects of her job and seeing all of the new ideas and trends! She is married to her husband, Josh with a daughter, a son and two CUTE puppies!!! She loves traveling, going to the beach and the Chicago Cubs. Her favorite foods include pizza, Mexican and breakfast foods.
Aida Dietz
Commercial Star
Aida joined the team almost three years ago when she was forced into the family business by her mom, Steffany. She has starred in two commercials so far and we see many more commercials in her future. Her mama hopes that she becomes famous or a doctor or lawyer someday but would be perfectly happy if she wanted to join the family business. She loves playing outside with her friends, Barbies, dancing and telling stories. Her favorite food is snacks.
Henry Dietz
Commercial Star
Henry will be starring in his first commercial soon. We can already tell he’s not going to participate as well as his sister so it will probably take SEVERAL takes to get it right. But he sure is cute!
